Floor mosaics, Santa Maria e San Donato, Murano

This church's Byzantine floor mosaics make a cosmos of colourful patterns and obscure allegories. The floor used to be very wavy and was restored at some point in the 1970s, but it is still quite uneven between parts of the church. Built between 7th century and c. 1140 / mosaics date from around 1140.
